supporting entrepreneurs for the ocean

Digivizer will provide digital insights to OIO, including winners and finalists of OIO Pitchfest, to support early stage ocean impact entrepreneurs, over next 12 months

Sydney, 11 August 2021 – Digivizer has signed a partnership with Ocean Impact Organisation, Australia’s ocean impact innovation ecosystem and startup accelerator.

The partnership is the latest addition to Digivizer’s program that supports digital marketers in business, the start-up space, entrepreneurs, and the education sector. Other partners on the program include Remarkable, Investible, the University of Newcastle, the City of Sydney and the NSW Government.

The first initiative Digivizer will support is OIO’s The Ocean Impact Pitchfest 2021, its global initiative that calls for applications from startups and businesses across the world with innovations that help transform ocean health. Pitchfest aims to discover and celebrate the innovations and innovators with the passion, drive and potential to have a significant positive impact on the planet’s oceans.

Digivizer will provide the winner of Pitchfest 2021 with 12 months’ usage of the Digivizer platform, and finalists will receive 4 months’ free usage of Digivizer.

Beyond this first program, Digivizer will provide Ocean Impact Organization (OIO) with access to its analytics platform that provides real-time tracking of performance of digital campaigns and programs across owned media, earned media and paid media, and search and web performance.

Digivizer will also provide OIO with digital marketing consulting sessions with Digivizer experts, and discounted support around analytics, paid media and creative marketing services.

Emma Lo Russo, CEO of Digivizer, said: “The Digivizer Partnership Program helps entrepreneurs and digital marketers at the start of their businesses to get the best they possibly can from their precious digital marketing resources and budgets.

“We’re very proud of the support we give all of our partners, be they students, startups for entrepreneurs, but this new relationship with OIO is special. The timing couldn’t be more important. Just this week the IPCC has published its latest report, and the future of the world’s oceans, as a result of climate change, does not look good. Elsewhere, scientific reports indicate that the Gulf Stream is slowing down, also as a result of climate change.

“It will take special entrepreneurial effort to reverse these changes. To be able to equip these entrepreneurs with the insights they can use to maximize the efforts they make to take their solutions to market via Digivizer technology is something we’re very excited to do.”

Nick Chiarelli, Co-Founder and CEO of Ocean Impact Organisation, said, “Founders need support and exposure to scale their efforts and make their biggest impact, and so we’re delighted that Digivizer and OIO have formed this new partnership to do just that. Having commercial partners such as Digivizer alongside us, as we pursue our mission to transform ocean health, provides us with a great boost.

“Ocean Impact Organisation is gaining lots of traction and mainstream support to help us towards our goal to accelerate 100 ocean impact startups in five years and to put Australia ‘on the map’ as a global exporter of ocean solutions. It’s fantastic to have commercial partners and funders eager to support OIO to generate tangible and meaningful impact.

“The Ocean Impact Pitchfest attracts some of the world’s most-amazing new thinkers creating commercial solutions that we believe will make a huge difference to the health of the ocean. Giving them access to Digivizer’s analytics expertise and platform, as the first of a number of programs we’ll be running in partnership with Digivizer, will help them be successful on their commercialization journey.”
